Impact on the environment: carbon footprint, waste management and natural resource consumption.
Organizational Assessments
Three assessments you can run in fruiStrategy and connect to strategy execution: sustainability (ESG), Strategy-Focused Organization (SFO) and Organizational Health Index (OHI).
ESG is a set of factors used to evaluate the sustainability and ethical impact of a company or investment. Organizations need to check their ESG scores to stay competitive on sustainability. fruiStrategy helps you perform ESG assessments and connect them to strategy execution.
Impact on the environment: carbon footprint, waste management and natural resource consumption.
Impact on people: employees, customers, suppliers and the community, including labor practices, human rights, diversity and community involvement.
Leadership, transparency and accountability: board composition, executive compensation and shareholder rights.
Investors use ESG to judge sustainability and ethical impact. Companies that score well tend to be more sustainable and socially responsible, which can mean better long-term financial performance.
Questionnaires for all three dimensions. Set the scoring criteria and run the survey as part of strategy execution.
The Execution Premium Methodology (XPP), by Robert S. Kaplan and David P. Norton, the creators of the Balanced Scorecard, helps organizations achieve their strategic goals. A Strategy-Focused Organization (SFO) has fully integrated strategy into daily operations and decisions, with employees aligned around common goals and metrics.
To become an SFO, follow four stages:
Create a clear, compelling strategy aligned with the mission and vision.
Turn it into objectives, measures, targets and initiatives that everyone can understand and implement.
Communicate the strategy, cascade objectives to individuals and link rewards and incentives to performance.
Monitor performance, take corrective action and keep improving processes and capabilities.
An SFO achieves superior performance and sustainable competitive advantage by focusing on its strategy, aligning resources and activities, and executing effectively.
Run SFO assessments regularly with the transformation team and key stakeholders, and arrive at a score that shows the overall progress of your strategy transformation.

The Organizational Health Index (OHI) is a tool developed by McKinsey & Company to assess and improve an organization’s health and performance. It is based on nine dimensions:
Understanding of the vision, mission and strategy.
Setting direction, inspiring others and creating a positive culture.
Values, beliefs and behaviours, and the climate of the workplace.
Employees held accountable, with clear performance expectations.
Processes and systems that coordinate activities and manage risks.
Ability to innovate, learn from experience and adapt to change.
Responding to customer needs, market trends and competitive pressures.
Talent, technology and infrastructure.
Employee motivation, engagement and commitment to goals.
The OHI is usually a survey of employees at all levels. The results show strengths and weaknesses and guide targeted interventions: a more engaged, productive workforce, better customer satisfaction and better long-term financial performance.
Create the OHI survey content if you use McKinsey & Company’s methodology, and link the results to strategy execution and value gap closure.
